- Blow bubbles with face submerged - 4 seconds
- Bob 10 times
- Front float, 5 seconds

- Introduction to back-crawl
- Proper 'Torpedo' with side breathing for half-length of pool
- Elementary backstroke, for half-length of pool
- Knowledge of basic water safety (bob to safety)
- Introduction to treading water
- Use of life jacket
